Daily practice: small but every day

Hand skill is like a muscle; it grows with short, regular repetition, not with one large scattered effort. Ten minutes of sketching a day will take you, in a month, somewhere three weekend hours will not.

Keep a small notebook with you always. Draw anything: the cup on the table, someone’s hand on the metro, a cat in the street. The subject does not matter; the habit does.
