Animals as characters: a cat that wears a hat

This is the series I enjoy most: cats in hats, apes with over-human expressions, and llamas in formal suits. The trick is to keep the animal’s anatomy real and add only one human element.

The humour comes from contrast: the more seriously and precisely you draw the cat, the funnier that little hat becomes. Cartoon the animal itself and the magic is gone.
